Hitwicket announces details of Women’s World Cup special c’ships

BENGALURU: Multiplayer cricket cricket gaming app Hitwicket Thursday announced the full details for their first-ever Women’s World Cup special Youth Championship 2023.

With the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup underway, Hitwicket aims to primarily target its base of 25% female gamers with this championship.

The Youth Championship 2023, which kicked off on 10th February, runs through to 19th March as teams from 100 countries compete in a 1v1 bowling tournament.

What differentiates the Youth Championship is that it has exclusive female characters and skins such as Phoenix, Storm, Raven & Athena, which are available as rewards enhancing the ultimate bowling experience. The female players in the team also contribute to 2x the milestone progress points.

Apart from these special rules and rewards, cricket fans will compete to make it to the World Cup Style Final Faceoffs.

The championship finals will be live streamed on the Hitwicket Superstars Youtube Channel where the audience will be able to watch the matches of the top finalists as they battle it out to be crowned the next Youth Champion.

The Youth Champion will be rewarded with exclusive female characters. To encourage more women gamers to play, the game has introduced a points system wherein the users will get an extra boost if they choose to play with female characters. These additional points will help them increase their pace of clearing milestones and grab female characters and skins as rewards.

There will also be limited-time discounts & offers this World Cup Season to help the users strengthen their squad.

Not only this, the game will be offering a lot of contests going on in Discord when the live stream is happening so that they can take part in that and win rewards.

Kashyap Reddy, cofounder, Hitwicket, said, “We are thrilled to announce the second edition of the Youth Championship. To cater to our female players exclusively, this year’s championship is being timed around the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. With this Championship, the aim is to prove that it is sheer stamina and skills that bring success in strategy games like ours and not gender. We are passionately working towards soaring up our figure of 25% female gamers via this tournament.”
