Rhiti Group organises Uttarakhand Super T20 League

NEW DELHI: MS Dhoni-backed Rhiti Group is presenting and organizing the Uttarakhand Super T20 League (USTL) for the Cricket Association of  Uttarakhand (CAU). 

The five-day cricket T20 tournament kicked off Sunday, with the finals scheduled for September 24 at the Tanush Cricket Academy in Sherpur, Dehradun.

Speaking on the development, Arun Pandey, chairman & managing director (CMD), Rhiti Group, said, “We are confident that this league will not only help bring out special talent in the region to the fore, but also produce some India stars very soon.”

The league, comprising five teams, play each other in a round robin format. The first and fourth teams meet in the first semi-final, while the second and third clash in the second, before the two winners clash in the finals.

Players participating in the tournament who have played in the Ranji Trophy include Dhanraj sharma, Gaurav Chaudhary, Shivam Khurana, Sunny Rana and Kunal Chandela. 

The CAU has made sure that state selectors and members of the board attend the tournament and have said that top players from the tournament will be eligible to play for Uttarakhand in Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) tournaments, for example the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament.
