THE OFFICIAL JERSEY for the ninth edition of the Adani Ahmedabad Marathon was unveiled on Saturday at Palladium Mall, in the presence of fitness enthusiasts and members of the city’s running community. The reveal showcased an impressive artwork created using 15,000 recycled plastic bottle caps, a striking blend of creativity, sustainability, and patriotic pride, serving as an ode to the tricolour.
In a first-of-its-kind initiative, designer Aaquib Wani partnered with Adani Sportsline to crowdsource ideas from local residents, merging community-driven concepts with his distinctive, narrative-led design approach. The outcome is a vibrant jersey that highlights the marathon’s core message, #Run4OurSoldiers, while reflecting Ahmedabad’s cultural energy.
The Adani Ahmedabad Marathon, part of the AIMS Global Marathon Event List, continues to uphold its long-standing commitment to honouring India’s armed forces.
This year’s run is set to begin at the Sabarmati Riverfront Sports Park, with routes weaving through some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including Atal Bridge, Gandhi Ashram, and Ellis Bridge. Scheduled for 30 November, the event will feature four race categories: Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10 km, and 5 km.
Adani Sportsline chief business officer Sanjay Adesara said, “With the unveiling of the official jersey of the 9th Adani Ahmedabad Marathon, we mark an important milestone. I would like to express my gratitude to Aaquib Wani for designing this jersey in collaboration with our community. The design beautifully captures the marathon’s growing legacy and the city’s creative energy.”
