NEW DELHI: German sportswear major adidas has added India’s highest ranked table tennis champion Manika Batra to its growing roster of athletes in the country.
The new partnership focuses on “empowering women to realize their dreams”.
The Indian star is the first Indian woman to win Gold in table tennis at a Commonwealth Games, the first Indian player to enter Top 10 in women’s doubles tnd Top 15 of mixed doubles at ITTF World rankings, and first Indian woman to enter top-50 of the ITTF Rankings.
Owing to her ‘Impossible Is Nothing’ attitude, Manika joins adidas’ rich roster of women athletes, consisting of stellars – like Mirabai Chanu, Lovlina Borgohain, Hima Das, Nikhat Zareen, to name a few.
