MUMBAI: adidas has signed on Aryan Khan, son of “Bollywood badshah” Shah Rukh Khan, to endorse the German sportswear giant’s newly launched adidas Originals NMD_V3 line of shoes.
“Breathable. Comfortable. Made with recycled materials. That’s a yes to all three. Plus there’s the style, like the perforated details, which is also where that breathability comes in. Playing with transparency, the 3-Stripes layer over the perforations, giving a glimpse at them underneath the monochrome signoff,” the company said in the description for the new footwear line.
This is the third rendition of the NMD series, which was first introduced in 2015. “Built for a life in motion, the shoe was re-introduced in 2022 with an updated take on the original cutting edge innovator, channeling the very same independent mindset,” the company website states.
In what is Aryan Khan’s first social media endorsement, he took to his Instagram handle to share his “favorite” styles from the collection.
The NMD_V3 line was released two weeks ago and the brand initially roped in Ranveer Singh for its promotion. A few other Instagram influencers were also utiised for the promotion.
However, as Afaqs has reported, the post on adidas’ Instagram handle with Aryan Khan as the model has surpassed the traction that the posts with Ranveer Singh generated in just a days time. Aryan’s post drew over 446,000 likes on Instagram in a day. By the looks of things, Khan Junior will sooner rather than later be a regular on the endorsement circuit.
