>> IPL 18 ad volumes up by 7% over previous season’s 5-match span

>> IPL 18 witnessed a notable 12% increase in the number of categories compared to IPL 17 (45+ vs 40+), accompanied by a substantial 29% growth in the number of advertisers (55+ vs 40+), reflecting a strong upward trend in brand participation.
Top Categories and Advertisers of IPL 18 and IPL 17 (5 Matches)
>> In IPL 18, the Mouth Freshener category dominated with total ad volumes.
>> Collectively, the top five categories accounted for 44% of total ad volumes. Ecom-Gaming, Mouth Freshener, and Cellular Phones–Smart Phones emerged as recurring leaders, featuring among the top five categories in both IPL 18 and IPL 17.
>> Notably, two of the top five categories in IPL 18 were from the Food & Beverages (F&B) sector.
>> The top 5 advertisers in IPL 18 contributed 30% of the overall ad volumes, with Parle Biscuits Pvt. Ltd. taking the lead. Sporta Technologies and Vishnu Packaging continued their strong presence, appearing among the top advertisers in both IPL 18 and IPL 17.
>> Among the leading advertisers, Parle Biscuits Pvt. Ltd. secured the top position in all matches except the opening game.
New Categories and Brands in IPL 18 compared to IPL 17 and Categories not in IPL 18 compared to IPL 17 (5 Matches)
> 20 new categories and 67 new brands advertised in 5 matches of IPL 18 compared to same no. of matches in IPL 17.
> Among the 67 new brands, ‘Parle Platina Hide & Seek’ was the leading brand followed by ‘Apple Iphone 16E’.
