AIFF floats RFP for 2025-26 ISL media rights

ALL INDIA FOOTBALL FEDERATION (AIFF) issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) on Sunday for the media rights of the 2025–26 Indian Super League (ISL) season.

Earlier on Sunday, AIFF received written approval from 13 ISL clubs to proceed with the process on a “limited and specific” basis for the upcoming season. ISL double winners Mohun Bagan Super Giant were not among the signatories to the letter, according to a Hindustan Times report.

The RFP was released after AIFF informed clubs that, with the ISL Governing Council and Management Committee yet to be constituted, the federation would need a minimum of 15 days from the issuance of an RFP for the process to be considered valid under its constitution. With the league scheduled to begin on 14 February and time at a premium, clubs granted their approval within hours of AIFF formally writing to them.

The deadline for bid submissions is 1 February, with bids set to be opened on 2 February. As per the RFP criteria, interested bidders must submit an earnest deposit of Rs 5 lakh, have a net worth of at least Rs 10 crore in the previous financial year, and demonstrate annual revenues of a similar amount over the past three financial years.

In addition, bidders are required to have a minimum of three years’ experience in broadcasting or streaming live international sports events and at least two years’ experience working with a national sports federation or a professional league in India.
