MUMBAI: Inside Edge, Amazon India’s fictional web series on match fixing in Indian cricket, has been selected as one of four nominees in the Drama Category of this year’s International Emmy Awards.
It will be battling for the top spot with Brazil’s One Against All, Spain’s Money Heist and the United Kingdom’s Urban Myths.
Written and directed by Karan Anshuman (director of Bangistan), the web series revolves around the Mumbai Mavericks team – a part of PPL (Powerplay T20 League), which is a fictional Indian Premier League kind of T20 cricket tournament.
The series featured talented artists like Richa Chadha, Vivek Oberoi, Sanjay Suri, Sayani Gupta, Tanuj Virwani and Angad Bedi to name a few.
The awards ceremony will take place in New York City on November 19.
