MUMBAI: Sports marketing firm Baseline Ventures has signed a multi-year agreement with India’s latest golfing sensation Shubhankar Sharma to look after all his endorsements and commercial interests for the Indian region. The India No. 1 is managed globally by Wasserman Media Group.
Shubhankar has caught the eye of the golfing world, rising from 462nd to 71st in the world rankings within just 3 months after two European Tour Wins and a tied ninth place finish at the World Golf Championships in Mexico a couple of months back. Aged 21, he is highest ranked Indian golfer in the world.
Shubhankar became only the fourth Indian golfer to play at the The Masters after Jeev Milkha Singh, Arjun Atwal and Anirban Lahiri. He also has been the only Indian to lead the European tour OOM, ever.
