BOARD OF CONTROL FOR CRICKET IN INDIA (BCCI) has announced a prize money of ₹21 crore for Team India and its support staff following their unbeaten run to clinch the Asia Cup 2025 title.
The announcement came after India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan by five wickets in the final at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, securing their ninth Asia Cup title.
“It was extraordinary victory and therefore as a part of celebrations, BCCI has announced a cash award of ₹21 crore in favour of the players and the support staff who are part of the Indian team in the Asia Cup. That money will be distributed and this is a big reward for our team and the Indian cricket board as well as the people of India. We are extremely proud of our cricketers and the support staff for their superb performance in Dubai,” BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia told PTI.
The prize money will be shared among the players and members of the support staff in recognition of their contribution to India’s commanding campaign.
