BOARD OF CONTROL FOR CRICKET IN INDIA (BCCI) has shared a list of 1,307 players under the Registered Available Player Pool (RAPP) with franchises, from which teams can sign replacement players during the season.
The RAPP comprises players who had registered for the auction and did not withdraw from the process, effectively those who went unsold at the auction held on 16 December in Abu Dhabi.
Several high-profile international names feature on the list, including Steve Smith, Reece Topley, Jamie Smith, Daryl Mitchell and Jonny Bairstow, all of whom could be considered as potential replacements by franchises.
Among capped Indian players available are Mayank Agarwal, KS Bharat, Deepak Hooda, Navdeep Saini, Chetan Sakariya, Sandeep Warrier and Umesh Yadav, each listed with a base price of Rs 75 lakh.
As per BCCI guidelines, franchises are not permitted to sign any player from the RAPP for less than their auction reserve price. While teams typically engage RAPP players as net bowlers, the BCCI has clarified that franchises do not retain any rights over such players, allowing other teams to recruit them if required.
