Bengaluru FC joins Kerala flood relief efforts

BENGALURU: Indian football giants Bengaluru FC have announced that they will be contributing with as much aid as possible to support the victims of the Kerala floods that have reportedly claimed 173 lives so far and are said to be the deadliest disaster in the state since the 1900s.

The club’s skipper and icon Sunil Chhetri took to Twitter to ask the citizens of Bengaluru and other parts of the country to unite in contributing as well to the cause.

“People in Bangalore, we at BFC are sending relief aid,” Chhetri said in the video on the social media platform.

“Please come, drop by the Bangalore football stadium and do your bit.”

“We all know the difficult time Kerala is going through. Everyone in Kerala please stay calm, stay safe. There are a lot of shelters that the government is providing. Please listen to the directives and make sure you keep yourselves safe. Everyone in India we all have to come together and help in whichever way you can. Please, and I mean please, help.”
