BHUBANESWAR: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Wednesday announced that Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga Stadium would play host to the Indian Super Cup 2018 on March 15.
Meanwhile, the final of the inaugural edition of the tournament, which was earlier to be played in Kochi, has been rescheduled from April 22 to April 25.
The top six teams from I-League and Indian Super League will directly play the Super Cup final. Four teams will go on to qualify the final round of the game. The draw for the qualifiers is scheduled on March 9 when the bottom four teams of India’s two prime leagues will meet each other.
The AIFF has decided to field six foreign players in each squad. All the matches are scheduled for either 5.30 pm or 8.00 pm.
The Kalinga Stadium has earlier been the venue for several international sports events, including 2017 Asian Athletics Championships and Men’s Hockey World League Final.
