CLOUD KITCHEN BRAND House of Biryan (HOB) has announced that Mahendra Singh Dhoni has expanded his association with the company, moving from a strategic investor to its official brand ambassador.
The development marks the next phase of a partnership that began in early 2025, when Dhoni joined the company’s cap table, drawn by its technology-led approach to delivering consistency and quality in one of India’s most popular dishes.
Since its launch, House of Biryan has scaled rapidly from a single kitchen to a multi-city presence across Mumbai, Delhi, and Dubai, while maintaining product consistency across locations. The brand’s “Meri Wali Biryani” model, which allows customers to customise their meals — has helped drive repeat orders and strengthen consumer loyalty.
The company is targeting revenue of Rs 500 crore over the next four to five years, supported by its expansion strategy and a focus on process-driven scalability. To date, the brand says it has served more than 10 million biryanis.
HOB’s investor base includes a mix of celebrity and institutional backers such as Shardul Thakur, Rannvijay Singha, and Amol Parashar, alongside strategic investors including Al Siraj Holdings and Angel Star Ventures.
Dhoni said, “Consistency under pressure comes from strong processes. HOB has built a model where quality doesn’t depend on the outlet or the time of day. That’s very similar to how high-performing teams operate in sport.”
Co-founders added, “MS Dhoni represents everything we stand for—discipline, consistency, and performance at scale. His journey with HOB began as an investor who challenged our systems and numbers. His decision to step in as brand ambassador validates the strength of our operating model and our global vision for biryani.”
