NEW DELHI: The 100th edition of the PGA Championship, the 4th and final golf Major of the year, will be broadcast for Indian golf enthusiasts on Discovery Communications branded sports channel DSport.
The PGA Championship, which will take place from 9th to 12th August, at the Bellerive Golf Course, will broadcast on the channel from 10:30 pm (IST) onwards. The historic course last hosted the PGA Championship in 2013.
The PGA Championship will witness the world’s best golfers competing for a prize purse of $10,500,000. Defending champion Justin Thomas will face competition from the likes of Tiger Woods, Rory Mcllroy, Jordan Spieth, Justin Rose and YE Yang as he bids to retain his hold on the iconic Wanamaker Trophy.
Shubhankar Sharma, who turned in a creditable performance making the cut in The Open at Carnoustie in July, will be leading the charge for India.
