MUMBAI: Eurosport India, from the house of Warner Bros Discovery, Thursday announced the acquisition of the broadcast rights for the Merdeka Cup, which will feature the Indian national football team.
The tournament will now be a tri-nation event post the withdrawal of Palestine. The Blue Tigers will take on hosts Malaysia at Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur in the first match of the tournament which, will be held on Friday, 13th October. The winner of the first match will lock horns against Tajikistan in the final on Tuesday, 17th October. Both the matches will be broadcast live in India on Eurosport channel from 6:30 PM IST onwards.
