FIA EXTREME H WORLD CUP, the first hydrogen-powered motorsport series, has announced an extension of its broadcast partnership with Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) through the end of the 2028 season.
The multi-year renewal ensures continued access for Indian audiences to live race coverage, highlights and exclusive digital content across SPNI’s television network and its streaming platform, Sony LIV.
The agreement builds on a partnership first established in 2024, which saw Extreme H events broadcast and streamed nationwide. As India continues to emerge as a key market for clean mobility and hydrogen-based technologies, the renewed collaboration reflects a shared commitment to promoting sustainable innovation through sport, per the media release.
SPNI chief revenue officer and business head, sports and international Rajesh Kaul said, “Our collaboration with Extreme H has resonated strongly with audiences who are eager for premium motorsport content and inspired by the event’s sustainability mission. We are proud to strengthen this partnership and bring the evolution of hydrogen-powered racing to fans across India for many more seasons.”
FIA Extreme H World Cup managing director Ali Russell said, “India is one of the most exciting regions in the world for clean mobility vision and innovation, and we are thrilled to extend our partnership with Sony Pictures Networks India through 2028. SPNI’s reach and storytelling expertise have been instrumental in growing our audience, and together we will continue to showcase the power of hydrogen technology and world-class racing to millions of fans.”
