PANAJI: Hero Indian Super League franchise FC Goa, which is owned by Pune-based hospitality firm Delta Corp, has confirmed leading poker site Adda52 Rummy as the team’s title sponsor and Deltin as associate sponsor for the 2019-20 season.
It bears noting that both Adda52 Rummy and Deltin – a gaming, hospitality & entertainment company – are subsidiaries of Delta Corp, which is focused in gaming (casinos) and hospitality mainly in Goa. Delta, which owns Asia’s largest luxury offshore casino located in Goa, today has a market capitalization of Rs 20 billion.
For the record, Delta Corp’s ownership of FC Goa is through group subsidiary Goan Football Club Pvt Ltd. Additionally, FC Goa lists Delta Corp chairman Jaydev Mody and his son-in-law Akshay Tandon as principal owners of the club.
Coming to the announcement made Tuesday, Adda52 Rummy, which was an associate sponsor of the club last season, will now see its logo being the central feature on all three first-team kits of the Gaurs.
Additionally, Deltin will be associated with the club as an associate sponsor for the 2019-20 season. The partnership will see the Deltin logo placed at the pendant position on all three kits of the club.
Aditya Datta, chief operating officer of FC Goa, stated in an official release: “On behalf of FC Goa, I’m glad to welcome Adda52 Rummy on board as our title sponsor. This is our second year together and we certainly believe that this again shows the belief that brands have on us to deliver. With Adda52 coming on board as the title sponsor this season, I believe there will be even more opportunities for us to work together on a number of common goals.”
On the Deltin association, Datta further stated: “We’re delighted that Deltin has come on board as an associate sponsor. We have worked together before and I believe this coming season will present even more avenues for us to collaborate for the development of the game in the state.”
