The AIFF lifted the ban on Hyderabad FC on August 21 itself, but the club wasn’t given a green light by FIFA. According to TOI, the AIFF Secretary General Shaji Prabhakaran wrote to all state associations that a “national ban on the registration of new players has been lifted from Hyderabad Football Club.”
“Please note that if the club is under a registration ban related to any other case with the AIFF/FIFA judicial bodies, such a ban will be effective until the conditions under which the ban is to be lifted are not fulfilled,” said Prabhakaran.
FIFA lifted the ban on Hyderabad FC on August 24.
“We take note from the mentioned correspondence that the Creditor (Nestor Jesus Gordillo Benitez) has received the amounts due by the respondent, the club Hyderabad FC, in accordance with the decision passed by FIFA. As a consequence, we inform you that the present proceedings are closed and hence, the registration ban imposed has been lifted,” Julien Deux, head of Judicial Bodies (Adjudicatory) at FIFA, wrote in an email to the club and the AIFF.
