MUMBAI: National, 14 July 2021: G-Shock, from the house of Casio, is launching a new series of extreme sports watches which add elements of night surfing design to the G-LIDE GBX-100. Designed to push the boundaries of toughness with its core association of extreme sports, it comes in two distinctive shades of stealth black and black with bronze highlights.
Surfing at night is 10X times tougher than surfing in the day and is seldom done. G-Shock pays homage to those with an attitude of challenging the very norms of a sport with a design that is stealthy and aggressive.
Building on the design language of the G-LIDE series, the stellar offerings combine G-shock’s distinctive style and tech-savvy features of a performance watch meant to be pushed to the extremes:
It can display information required by surfers (high and low tide times and levels)
The supporting phone application allows a simple selection of approximately 3300 locations across the globe.
The mobile app also helps syncing sunrise and sunset time and other surfer related essential information in the watch basis location.
A high-resolution MIP LCD enhances readability and enables the display of the tide graph, moon data, high and low tide times, tide levels and sunrise/sunset times.
