LUXURY ITALIAN brand Gucci has named Aryna Sabalenka as its newest global brand ambassador.
The announcement coincides with the Belarusian tennis star’s dominant performance at the Australian Open, where she has yet to drop a set in two matches.
The reveal came via Gucci’s social media channels, featuring a captivating video of Sabalenka playing tennis on a rooftop court, wearing Gucci attire. The caption on the post read: “Welcome to the Gucci family, Aryna.” The brand is synonymous with bold elegance, and Sabalenka’s vibrant personality makes her a natural fit.”
In her debut video, Sabalenka appears in Primadonna attire — designed by Georgian designer Demna Gvasalia.
Gucci has strategically built a strong presence in the world of professional tennis through its selection of high-profile brand ambassadors from the sport. The current ATP World No.2 and four-time Grand Slam champion, Jannik Sinner, is another prominent star for the brand. Sinner has held the position of Gucci’s global brand ambassador since 2022, and Gucci celebrates their long-standing connection through various campaigns.
