COMIC CON INDIA is set to strengthen its presence in the National Capital Region with the launch of Gurugram Comic Con in 2026. The inaugural edition is scheduled to take place on 14–15 March at the Gymkhana Club ground in Gurugram.
Home to professionals from across the country working in multinational corporations, start-ups and digital-first industries, Gurugram has developed a diverse and engaged audience. The city’s residents actively follow international comics, anime, gaming and online fandoms, while also supporting Indian creators, original stories and homegrown pop culture communities.
With fans from Gurugram consistently turning out in large numbers at nearby Comic Con events, the city has long been seen as ready for a celebration closer to home making it a natural addition to Comic Con India’s growing calendar.
Gurugram Comic Con 2026 will offer fans a wide-ranging pop culture experience, spanning comic books, anime and manga. Attendees can explore exclusive titles and collectibles, shop official merchandise, and interact with Indian and international creators and celebrities through signings, panel discussions and fan-driven conversations.
The event will feature dedicated gaming arenas curated by NODWIN Gaming, immersive experience zones by Maruti Suzuki Arena and Crunchyroll, and vibrant cosplay showcases bringing iconic characters to life. Live music, dance performances and stand-up comedy will further enhance the atmosphere, positioning Gurugram Comic Con as a high-energy, youth-centric festival that unites stories, fandoms and communities.
Comic Con India CEO Shefali Johnson said, “Gurugram is like home for me, and it’s a city that lives at a very different pace. It’s where people spend their days moving between offices, co-working spaces, and highways, but also where fandom quietly thrives in apartments, gaming rooms, Discord servers, and weekend mall meet-ups. What’s been missing is a shared moment where all of that energy comes together. Bringing Comic Con to Gurugram is about creating that moment, a space where the city’s fans, creators, and communities don’t have to travel elsewhere to be seen. It’s about building something that belongs to Gurugram, and to the people who call it home.”
NODWIN Gaming co-founder and managing director Akshat Rathee added, “When we look at Gurugram, we see a city that works incredibly hard during the week and then actively looks for ways to unwind together. People here spend their days in offices and startups, but evenings and weekends are about gaming cafes, mall meet-ups, late-night food runs, and shared interests. As NODWIN’s home city, Gurugram has always been close to us, and we’ve seen firsthand how strong its pop culture and gaming community is. We noticed how many fans from Gurugram regularly travel to Comic Con events as visitors, cosplayers, gamers, and creators. Bringing Comic Con to Gurugram is really about acknowledging that this culture already thrives here and creating a space that feels familiar, accessible, and truly local.”
