ICC, FanCraze launch into cricket metaverse with Crictos

DUBAI: The ICC and FanCraze have come together to launch Crictos – the new official digital collectibles program of the ICC.

During the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021, the ICC announced that it was working with FanCraze to deliver an official digital collectibles program.

Crictos will be the only way to access and own official digital collectibles from the ICC’s events and will give fans around the globe an opportunity to own pieces of cricketing history.

The first pack of Crictos are expected to drop via FanCraze in mid-January, with only a small number of fans invited to participate in the First Pack Drop as it will be a “closed beta” launch.

Those who pre-register will go into a random draw and stand a chance to be invited to participate the historic first-ever Crictos Pack Drop. They will also receive important updates about the Crictos Program, including the details of new Pack Drops.

Each pack will contain between three to five Crictos of varying rarities. Though a user buying a pack does not know the content of the pack, they can see the probability of what tier of NFTs are there in a specific pack.

Different tiers of Crictos
There are a total of six tiers of Crictos increasing in the order of rarity: Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Platinum, and Genesis, with Common Crictos being the most minted while Genesis will be the rarest.

Once a user has set up their account and purchased their first Pack of Crictos, they can then collect, trade and showcase their Crictos moments via the official Crictos Platform at FanCraze.

Initial drop
The initial release will feature clips from the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2015 and the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019.

Fans can buy a pack that will include several Crictos, or they can purchase individual Crictos on FanCraze’s peer-to-peer marketplace.
