MUMBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) is reportedly set to take a call on the hosting rights of the upcoming T20 World Cup when its executive board meets on June 01.
Though India is scheduled to host the tournament, the general sentiment among cricket administration circles points to the mega event being shifting to the UAE.
The BCCI will reportedly convey its decision to the ICC during the latter’s meeting on June 02.
Speaking to Cricbuzz about the possible option of the tournament being moved to UAE, an informed source said: “The ICC is not unaware of the situation but one cannot speculate on what will be the decision on June 1. One has to wait and see.”
