KABADDI CHAMPIONS LEAGUE (KCL) HARYANA has announced Indian kabaddi icons Mohit Chhillar and Rajesh Narwal as the official brand ambassadors of the league.
Launched under the exclusive sanction of the Amateur Kabaddi Association of Haryana (AKAH), KCL Haryana is the state’s officially recognised professional kabaddi league. The initiative represents a major step forward for grassroots sports, designed to identify, train, and elevate rural talent from Haryana’s villages and towns to national and international platforms.
With the largest purse value ever offered by a state-level league, KCL Haryana aims to make kabaddi not just a sport, but a sustainable profession. The league has already drawn over 3,000 player registrations across its ongoing zonal trials, with the first round in Rohtak witnessing overwhelming participation. These trials will culminate in a Central Selection Camp, where kabaddi stalwarts including Dronacharya Awardee Balwan Singh, World Champion Jagpal Singh, and Asian Champion Jagdeep Singh will handpick the most promising talent for the league auction, according to the media release.
Narwal said, “KCL is more than a league – it’s a mission to turn kabaddi into a platform of opportunity. Haryana has the talent, and KCL is the bridge connecting it to the world.”
Chhillar added, “Kabaddi has given Haryana an identity on the world stage. With KCL, young players from our villages now have a clear, professional pathway to success.”
