MRF MMSC fmsci Indian National Motorcycle Championship 2025 enters a decisive phase this weekend as 152 riders and 18 teams gather at the Madras International Circuit for Round 4 of the season, running from 3–5 October.
With three rounds already completed, the championship battles remain wide open across the National and One-Make Championships (Petronas TVS and Idemitsu Honda India Talent Cup).
The Pro-Stock 301–400cc Open class has delivered some of the fiercest duels of the season, led by Hyderabad’s Rahil Pillarisetty (RACR Castrol Power1) on a Yamaha R3 and Pune’s Sarthak Chavan (Petronas TVS Racing), the teenage defending champion. Both riders have notched three wins each, with the 27-year-old Pillarisetty holding a slender nine-point lead.
Bengaluru’s Savion Sabu (18, Mad Rabbit Racing) and Varun Patil (31, Mad Rabbit Racing) currently top the Pro-Stock 165–200cc Open and Stock 301–400cc (Novice) categories, respectively. However, inconsistent form means they will need strong performances this weekend to maintain their advantage.
In the Super Stock Intermediate 165cc and Stock 165cc (Novice) classes, Hyderabad’s Mohammed Samrul Zubair (Motul Sparks Racing) and Rajender Beedani (MAI Racing) lead the pack, though by slim margins.
Meanwhile, last year’s champion Jagathishree Kumaresan (One Racing) has dominated the Girls (Stock 165cc) category with four consecutive wins, giving her a comfortable 16-point cushion over fellow Chennai rider and former champion Ann Jennifer (Motul Sparks Racing).
The Petronas TVS One-Make Championship has seen Mohan Babu (Chennai), Hari Haran (Coimbatore), and Jagathishree Kumaresan impress in the Expert (Apache RTR 310), Rookie (Apache RTR 200), and Women (Apache RTR 200) categories. In the Electric RTE class, Sarthak Chavan has asserted dominance with three consecutive wins.
In the Idemitsu Honda India Talent Cup (Honda CB 300F), Solomon R (Bengaluru) holds a 15-point lead over Tejash BA (Tumakuru), while Jammu’s Raivat Dhar is climbing the standings despite missing Round 1.
Race director and chairman of the event Manoj Dalal said, “It is very evident from the results so far that the Championship this season has been among the most competitive in recent times. Almost every race has witnessed a close finish. The Championship has proved itself as a nursery of talent as it has become a springboard for youngsters pursuing their racing dreams. Some of them have already won laurels at the Asian level. So, there is plenty to look forward to this weekend.”
