NEW DELHI: The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) is raising sufficient funds through sponsors to send a contingent to the Gold Coast Commonweatlh Games and won’t be talking any support from the Sports Ministry for the same.
A report in The Times of India said that the IOA has already tied in a few sponsors, which include one from the financial services sector.
Commonweatlh Games 2018 will run from April 4-15.
In a similar initiative, the IOA had raised more than Rs 100 million for the Rio Olympics, the report added.
