NEW DELHI: Sports management firm IOS Sports & Entertainment added Indian woman rally driver Garima Avtar to the roster of sportspersons it represeants.

“We would like to welcome Garima Avtar. She has proved her potential on the motorsports circuit. And we hope to serve her in the best possible way,” Neerav Tomar, MD, IOS, said.
Garima opined: “I’m excited to be part of the finest sports management group in the country. They have a proven record and I look forward to a great association with them.”
The Noida-based rally driver has participated in all the mega motorsports competitions in India, including, the Indian Rally Championship, Raid De Himalaya, Desert Storm, the Mughal Rally and the Autocross and Speed Sprints.
Garima has received numerous awards including the Asian Achievement Award for outstanding work in rally racing and setting an example for young minds and upcoming millennials. She has been felicitated as Superwoman of Delhi NCR as well as SuperMom by Radio One 94.3 FM. Her career in motorsports began with the coveted Team Mahindra and she has won laurels at the Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm Rally and Raid De Himalayas. She had also bagged the Best Female Driver Award in 2013.
Apart from her contribution on the motorsport circuit, she has also worn many other hats. She was the former corporate vice-president (VP) at Delton Cables Ltd, country chairperson, India for Motorsport of All Ladies League & Women Economic Forum. Besides these, Avtar is also a model, an avid golfer and a trained sufi singer.
Elite athletes managed by the company includes boxing superstars MC Mary Kom and Vijender Singh, IAAF World U-20 Champion in 400m and Asian Games 2018 Gold medallist Hima Das, Commonwealth Games 2018 Gold medallists Manika Batra, Mirabai Chanu, Asian Games 2018 Gold medallist Jinson Johnson and captains of Indian men and women’s hockey team Manpreet Singh and Rani Rampal respectively, World No 10 men’s doubles badminton pair Chirag Shetty and Satwik Rankireddy.
