The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League IPL 2024 is expected to start on March 22 an end on May 26.
Per Cricbuzz, BCCI have chalked out these dates after considering the General Elections set to take place this year and also T20 World Cup 2024, which is starting soon after.
If IPL 2024 is held as per the dates reported on by Cricbuzz and comes a close on May 26, then the T20 World Cup-bound Indian team will have to fly immediately as the World Cup starts just five days later. However, India’s first match in the competition would be 9 days away. on June 5.
BCCI has discused the dates with the stakeholders, the report further states. The Women’s Premier League (WPL), as reported earlier, is supposed to be held between February 22 to March 27, in Bengaluru and Delhi.
