MUMBAI: So the BCCI is finally done with the dilly-dallying on the “matter” of CVC Capital Partners. As the usually reliable Vijay tagore of Cricbuzz reports, the governing council of the Indian Premier League is expected to give a “formal nod” to CVC for the Ahmedabad franchise, “unless there is an unlikely last minute twist”, on December 3.
The IPL GC meeting has been scheduled a day before the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), where the new GC will be constituted.
The other pressing matter on the GC’s agenda at the December 3 meeting is to finalise the IPL media rights tender, which it needs noting, the BCCI had previously stated would be out immediately after the sale of two new teams on October 25.
