JAPANESE TECHNOLOGY AND GAMING COMPANY, MIXI Inc., has officially entered the Indian market with the launch of its mobile game STRIKE WORLD, marking a significant step in its global expansion strategy. The rollout follows an early access phase that began on February 19, 2026, with full-scale operations commencing in mid-April 2026.
STRIKE WORLD is the global version of MIXI’s highly successful Japanese RPG “Monster Strike”, which has recorded over 65 million downloads in Japan. India, one of the fastest-growing mobile gaming markets globally, has been identified as a key strategic destination due to its rapid smartphone penetration, large population base, and expanding digital entertainment ecosystem.
The game blends casual accessibility with competitive depth, making it appealing to both new gamers and experienced players. A major highlight of MIXI’s India strategy is localisation as the game has been specifically optimised for Indian users.
The company is also planning collaborations with Japanese IP holders and Indian anime-related companies, tapping into the rising popularity of anime culture in India. MIXI is introducing a hybrid monetisation strategy tailored to Indian consumer behaviour with bundled passes and in-game purchases, ad-supported rewards, and season-based content monetisation.
