JioHotstar secures 3yr deal as streaming partner of TPL

TENNIS PREMIER LEAGUE (TPL) has announced a three-year partnership with JioHotstar as its official streaming partner, beginning with Season 7.

The deal will provide fans across India with broader access to live matches, highlights, and exclusive content through JioHotstar’s digital platforms.

TPL matches follow a 25-point format designed to simplify the viewing experience and help establish tennis as a mass-participation sport in India. The league is backed by Indian tennis icons Leander Paes, Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi, along with celebrity co-owners Rakul Preet Singh and Sonali Bendre Behl. Season 7 will take place from 9 to 14 December at the Gujarat University Tennis Stadium in Ahmedabad, which is set to be a major venue for the 2030 Commonwealth Games.

TPL co-founder Kunal Thakkur said, “We’re thrilled to welcome JioHotstar as our official OTT partner for the next three seasons. TPL has always aimed to revolutionize how tennis is consumed in India, and this partnership ensures that fans everywhere can now experience the league in the most engaging and accessible way possible.”

TPL co-founder Kunal Thakkur added, “Our vision has always been to make tennis a household sport in India. Partnering with JioHotstar gives us the perfect platform to amplify that vision — reaching millions of fans and giving them a front-row seat to the excitement of TPL Season 7.”
