KIRAAK HYDERABAD were crowned champions of Pro Panja League Season 2 after defeating Rohtak Rowdies 30–18 in the final on 21 August in Gwalior.
The winners received a prize of ₹20 lakh ($24,000), while the runner-up team took home ₹5 lakh ($5,900).
Rohtak Rowdies’ Nirmal Devi was named Player of the Day, while Kiraak Hyderabad’s Satnam Singh was adjudged Player of the Tournament. Stewe Thomas picked up the ‘Badshaho ka Badshah’ title.
Runners-up in the inaugural season, where they narrowly missed out to Kochi KD’s by just one point, Kiraak Hyderabad this time lifted the coveted trophy and etched their name in the league’s history.
Stewe Thomas also set a new Pro Panja League record, pinning Deepankhor Mech in just 0.09 seconds, surpassing the previous best of 0.10 seconds held by Sachin Goyal.
The season concluded on a high note as Kiraak Hyderabad’s consistency was finally rewarded, having finished first in the points table in both season 1 and season 2.
