Legends League Cricket acquired by Blue God in ₹49cr deal

ABSOLUTE LEGENDS SPORTS has announced that Legends League Cricket has been acquired by Blue God Entertainment for Rs 49 crore, in a move that positions the league as the first cricket property to be represented through a publicly listed Indian entity.

The transaction is expected to place Legends League Cricket at the convergence of sport, entertainment and the capital markets. Both parties have described the deal as a potential blueprint for institutional ownership of sports intellectual property in India.

Under the terms of the agreement, Blue God Entertainment will secure long-term commercial rights spanning media, sponsorship, franchise development and global content distribution.

The acquisition is also being framed as a step towards creating a new monetisation framework for sports IP, enabling public market participation in cricket league economics and potentially establishing a new asset class within the Indian sports industry.

Absolute Legends Sports chairman Vivek Khushalani said, “Legends League Cricket has been built as a scalable global sports property with strong commercial fundamentals and growing fan engagement. This partnership represents the next phase of its evolution, bringing institutional capital, long-term growth visibility, and enhanced global expansion opportunities for the league. The agreement enables ALSPL to pursue an asset-light, scalable growth strategy while retaining long-term brand leadership of the league.”

Legends League Cricket co-founder Raman Raheja shared, “By integrating a premier cricket property with public markets, we are creating a new framework for how sports intellectual properties are valued, monetised, and scaled.”

Blue God Entertainment spokesperson Nitin Khanna added, “Legends League Cricket offers a powerful growth platform with significant commercial potential. This acquisition strengthens our long-term vision of building a leading sports and entertainment ecosystem.”
