Lowe Lintas bags Kohli-endorsed MPL’s marketing rights

BENGALURU: Lowe Lintas, the top Indian marketing communications company, has bagged the marketing mandate for the Mobile Premier League (MPL), one of the country’s fastest growing eSports and online gaming platforms.

MPL has been available on Play Store and App Store, which is resulted in it having 15 million users within just 10 months of its inception.

Lowe Lintas is all set to work with Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, who was recently announced as brand ambassador of the MPL in a Rs 120 million valued deal, for its promotional campaigns starting with the upcoming IPL season.

Though its headquarters are in Mumbai, the agency is set to operate from Bengaluru for the partnership, which is also Kohli’s home in the IPL as he is the captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise.

Mobile Premier League founder Sai Srinivas commented on their new association: “We went through a long multi-agency pitch before finalising on Lowe Lintas as their campaign idea resonated very well with our brand and their team understood our core consumer really well. The projected growth in the mobile gaming sector is massive and with Lowe Lintas as our partner, we are confident of growing even faster.”

Lowe Lintas President Hari Krishnan added: “Launching brands is something that Lowe Lintas has consistently done successfully and that is what we intend to do with MPL, an exciting platform that democratises fame & fortune. Mobile gaming is a very fast growing and dynamic category and we are excited to be a part of this journey with MPL.”
