MADRID: Japanese automotive company Mazda has renewed its sponsorship agreement with LaLiga for another two years, retaining its status as the official automobile brand of Spanish top-flight football until the end of the 2019-20 season.
The renewed agreement, first signed in August 2015, ensures the Japanese auto major will remain present in Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante competitions, including all formats of the same, as presence at stadiums, online platforms, social networks and television broadcasts.
Mazda is positioned as a third tier regional sponsor alongside 11 brands that include Samsung, Mahou, Allianz and Danone.
LaLiga’s lead partner is Santander while the second tier global sponsors include Nike, TAG Heuer, EA Sports, Unilever’s Rexona and Clear Men (both just announced), as well as global betting brand Manbetx.
