Orangutan win inaugural iQOO Battlegrounds Series

After three days of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) action at the LAN finale of the inaugural iQOO Battlegrounds Series, Team Orangutan have been crowned championss after securing a commanding 61-point lead.

Organised by NODWIN Gaming and powered by smartphone brand iQOO, the tournament kicked off on 21 July with 32 participating teams. The top eight from the group stage advanced directly to the finals, while the remaining 24 battled it out in the semi-finals. From there, another eight teams progressed to complete the 16-team LAN finals line-up.

Over the course of 18 matches at the LAN event, Orangutan claimed their first BGMI championship title with 217 points. Meta Ninza finished second with 156 points, followed by K9 Esports in third on 121 points. Orangutan’s Ankit Shukla (AKop) was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) for his 62 finishes in the finals.

Fans at the venue were also treated to special meet-and-greet sessions with some of India’s most popular gaming creators from S8UL and Revenant Esports XSpark, including Naman Mathur (Mortal), Raj Varma (Snax), Gulrez Khan (JokerKiHaveli), Payal Dhare (PayalGaming), Kaashvi Hiranandani (KaashPlays), and Tanmay Singh (ScoutOP).
