LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has disallowed players with central contracts to participate in UAE’s newly-launched T20 league later this year.
The decision was made in a Pakistan Super League (PSL) governing council meeting held here Thursday.
The meeting was presided over by PCB chairman Najam Sethi and also featured representatives of all PSL franchises. The board also approved the franchises’ request for an increase in the salary cap of their squads.
The PCB also announced that in the 2018-19 PSL season, 8 matches will be held in Pakistan as a part of the board’s efforts to bring more cricket back to the country.
