THE BOARD OF CONTROL FOR CRICKET IN INDIA (BCCI) had invited proposals from reputed entities to acquire the rights and obligations for providing verification services for player registration, through a tender process launched on 1 August.
The BCCI issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) on 1 August, detailing the terms and conditions governing the submission and evaluation of bids. Following requests from interested parties, the board has decided to extend the key timelines related to the RFP process.
The revised dates are as follows:
* Last date to seek clarifications: 20 August (earlier 11 August)
* Last date to purchase the RFP: 25 August (earlier 18 August)
* Submission of proposals: 12:00 PM on 29 August (earlier 22 August)
Technical requirements:
* The Interested Party should have a minimum of 3 (three) years of experience in providing background verification services to reputed entities including but not limited to corporate companies, educational boards/institutions, and recruitment bodies. The Interested Party must be able to furnish client testimonials or reference letters from such entities in support of the same.
* The Interested Party should have a nationwide network or the ability to conduct verifications across all Indian states and Union territories.
* The Interested Party must demonstrate capacity to verify multiple document types including proof of identity (Aadhar, Passport, Voter ID), proof of age (birth certificate, school records) proof of residence, academic records etc.
* The Interested Party should have the capability to conduct in-person field verifications, if required especially in rural areas.
The RFP will be available to interested parties on receipt of payment of a non-refundable fee of INR 1,00,000 (Indian Rupees One Lakh Only) plus any applicable Goods and Services Tax.
