NEW DELHI: PokerBaazi has announced the National Poker Series India 2023, the third edition of the tournament hosted by the online gaming platform. No dates of when the event would be held were offered though.
As per PokerBaazi, the last two editions have witnessed participation not just restricted to the metros, but also from tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
As per PokerBaazi, the 2021 edition of the tournament registered 83,000 entries and last year’s edition drew as many as 96,000 entries.
In the last two editions Maharashtra (94), and New Delhi (82) have been leading the medal tally with Rajasthan (46) Uttar Pradesh (41), Haryana (39) completing the top five.
In 2021, Mohd. Azhar Tak (3) – Rajasthan, Ankit Wadhawan (3) – Punjab, Kritagya Sharma (3) – New Delhi lead the medals tally. Whereas in 2022 Shagun Jain (6) – Rajasthan, Dhaval Doshi (4) – Maharashtra and, Rohit Begwani (4) – Rajasthan completed the podium positions with an even higher count of medals.
As was the case in previous editions, the tournament will continue with its tradition to give an opportunity to its podium finishers to compete in the world’s largest international poker tournament – in Las Vegas, Nevada.
