BENGALURU: The Virat Kohli helmed Indian Premier League franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has unveiled its athleisure apparel range in partnership with Indian knitwear brand Status Quo.
The collaboration has been powered by Black White Orange Brands Pvt. Ltd, RCB’s global licensing partner.
RCB has worked closely with the Black White Orange team to conceptualize the design framework for the teams’ overall merchandising. Together they will look at several licensing and retail partnerships, globally.
With this athleisure range, RCB becomes one of the first T20 teams to have an official lifestyle fashion apparel range, moving beyond the traditional offering of player and fan kits. The RCB Autumn-Winter 2017 collection pays homage to the concept of ‘RCB Heroes’ and is a range that celebrates RCB’s fearless attitude through a bold aesthetic.
Speaking on this Amrit Thomas, chief marketing officer, Diageo India / chairman of Royal Challengers Bangalore said: “With the launch of RCB Athleisure wear, the fans who form the true force behind the franchise can sport their love through merchandise that goes beyond regular fan kits. Powered by Black White Orange, we will be crafting different types of unique merchandising categories to be retailed to the fans going forward and the first milestone in this merchandising journey is the launch of RCB Athleisure Wear.”

The range will be available across retail stores pan India this month and will be priced between Rs800-1000.
