S8UL ESPORTS emerged victorious in the inaugural Legends Ascend South Asia, organised by Riot Games in association with Aftermath Ventures. The triumph secures them a coveted place at the League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) Wild Card Playoffs, scheduled from 28 to 31 August, where they will face top regional teams for a shot at promotion to the LCP 2026.
Announced in April 2025, Legends Ascend South Asia was designed to provide a structured, competitive platform for the region’s League of Legends talent. Featuring a prize pool of Rs.10 lakh, the four-month competition brought together 95 teams from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the Maldives, and Bhutan. The format included three open qualifiers, a round-robin league stage, and double-elimination playoffs.
The tournament began with three open-registration qualifiers (April–May), which produced nine standout teams: S8UL Esports, Kakao Gaming, PnX ASCENSION, Revenants, SUVO HATERS, Jetfire’s Dojo, Syndicate, Poro Patrol, and Report Precog Gaming.
Spanning over 29 broadcast days, Legends Ascend South Asia generated over 1.3 lakh YouTube views and reached more than 7 lakh fans through Aftermath Ventures’ FragNation channel. In addition, 12 community watch parties were held across the region, contributing a further 1.25 lakh views through grassroots fan hubs, according to the organisers.
