SG PIPERS lifted the Women’s Hero Hockey India League 2025–26 title after edging past Shrachi Bengal Tigers 3–2 in a shootout, following a gripping 1–1 draw in regulation time.
Goals from Preeti Dubey in the 53rd minute and Lalremsiami in the 16th ensured the match remained finely balanced across four quarters. In the shootout, captain Navneet Kaur, Juana Castellaro and Lola Riera all converted their attempts, while goalkeeper Bansari Solanki produced a series of crucial saves to seal the championship for SG Pipers.
Hockey India League announced a prize purse of Rs 1.5 crore for champions SG Pipers, with runners-up Shrachi Bengal Tigers receiving Rs 1 crore. Third-placed Ranchi Royals were awarded Rs 50 lakh and also took home the Fair Play Award.
Solanki was named goalkeeper of the tournament, while her team-mate Sunelita Toppo was recognised as the upcoming player of the competition, with both players receiving Rs 5 lakh each. Shrachi Bengal Tigers’ Agustina Gorzelany finished as the tournament’s top scorer and was awarded Rs 5 lakh. SG Pipers captain Navneet Kaur was crowned Hero player of the tournament and took home a prize of Rs 20 lakh.
