Sony starts promotional campaign for CWG

MUMBAI: In the lead-up to the Commonwealth Games 2018, which kicks off in just over a month, India broadcast partner Sony Pictures Sports Network (SPSN) on Monday launched its promotional campaign – ‘Rang De Tiranga.

Sony has designed a campaign that urges the fans to take notice and cheer on its athletes as they vie to bring home yet another huge tally of medals, an official release states.

The Games will run from April 4 to 15 in Gold Coast, Australia.

The competitions will be shown live on Sony Six and Sony Ten 2 in English and Sony Ten 3 in Hindi.

The campaign revolves around Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary, the “biggest fan” of the sports network’s brand ambassador Sachin Tendulkar.

He is shown as the face of Sony’s rallying cry ‘Rang De Tiranga’.

Rajesh Kaul, president, Sports and Distribution Business, SPSN, said: “This is the first major multi-sport event on SPSN and with great pride we announce the ‘Rang De Tiranga’ campaign for the Commonwealth Games 2018.”
