SPECIAL OLYMPICS BHARAT has launched a new social media initiative, Kranti Khel Se, aimed at reinforcing its identity as an organisation dedicated to inclusive sports and social transformation for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
The organisation has long worked to create opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities across sport, health, education, and youth leadership, promoting confidence, well-being, and holistic development.
Through engaging and purposeful digital storytelling, the campaign seeks to inspire participation from young people, families, volunteers, organisations, and communities nationwide. Athlete narratives, youth leadership features, impact-led content, and interactive activities will form the backbone of Kranti Khel Se, further advancing the cause of inclusive sport.
By raising awareness around intellectual disabilities, the campaign also encourages individuals with IDD to register with the National Sports Federation (NSF) and pursue their sporting ambitions.
Another objective is to help build a strong Indian contingent for the 2027 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Santiago, Chile.
Special Olympics Bharat president Dr Mallika Nadda said, “Kranti Khel Se reflects our commitment to building an inclusive India – one where individuals with intellectual disabilities are celebrated for their strengths. Through this campaign, we hope to expand public understanding and encourage collective participation in creating a society where persons with intellectual disabilities have the opportunity to shine.”
Special Olympics Bharat director, media and communication Antriksh Jaiswal added, “This campaign is a step toward amplifying stories of resilience and impact. We aim to strengthen our digital presence, engage young advocates and inspire more partners and communities to join us in advancing inclusion through sports.”
