PARIS: Tour de France, the world’s premier cycling event, has come up with its first ever official Fantasy game this year.
In the game, a team of eight cyclists can be built by users and points can be made at each of the 21 stages of the race, which depends on the real performances of the riders in the overall jersey classifications.
The captain of the team can be changed at each stage, so that the battle becomes more competitive as users can get a chance to score double the points if he or she plays well.
On the rest days, which are after Stage 9 and 15, users are permitted to make two transfers and adapt their game strategy accordingly. They have the opportunity to compete against family, friends, colleagues and so on.
Winners will get a chance to claim VIP passes for next year’s Tour de France, while other top performers will receive nine jerseys of the tour.
