CHENNAI: Indian tyre major TVS Tyres has partnered come on board the upcoming Hero Asia Cup 2017 as the ‘co-pesenting’ sponsor of the continental hockey tournament.
Hero Asia Cup 2017 is one of the premier hockey tournaments globally and is a much sought-after competition that promises great entertainment.
Commenting on the association, P Vijayaraghavan, director, TVS Srichakra Ltd. said, “This is a great opportunity for TVS Tyres to reach out to a global audience. Hockey is a popular sport and we aim to build wider brand recall through such esteemed tournaments.”
The 10th edition of the quadrennial hockey championship will commence Wednesday running through to 22nd October at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium in Dhaka (Bangladesh). Eight teams, including Team India, will be participating in the tournament.
India will be facing Japan in Wednesday’s opening encounter.
In the recent past, TVS Tyres has associated with sporting events like Indian Premier League, Hockey India League, Asian Champions Trophy, Indian Super League and Cricket All Stars Series etc. Now, this association with Hero Asia Cup 2017 is one more prestigious brand engagement.
