UK sports & nutrition brand makes India entry

MUMBAI: Myprotein, UK-based sports and nutrition brand, has entered into a strategic partnership with MSM Retail Pvt Ltd to foray into the Indian market.

Myprotein provides one of the widest range in sports nutrition with core products such as whey protein, casein, bcaa, glutamine, etc.

In order to offer quicker delivery services, the brand has set up a warehouse with a robust distribution network in place. With this, the company will reduce the average wait span for its customers from 25-30 days to 3-5 days.

Esha Singh, general manager, Emerging Markets, Nutrition and Beauty Brands, said: “India is a key market for Myprotein and demand for the products has increased over the years, but due to limited availability, customers had to order products from the UK which meant a long delivery time. As a result, Myprotein now has an official warehouse in Gurugram to deliver the same assurance of quality and authenticity, which is enjoyed by millions of customers worldwide and we are determined to continue to increase our investments in India over the next few years.”

The brand was bought by British e-commerce company The Hut Group, in 2011.

The Hut Group operates more than 100 international websites, which sell fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs) directly to the consumers through its proprietary e-commerce platform.
