UPT20 S4 from Aug 14 in 2 host cities; Raina continues as brand ambassador

The UP T20 Season 4 runs from August 14 to September 6, 2026, featuring 34 matches across 24 days, including 13 double-header days and 8 single-header days.

For the first time, the tournament will be hosted across two cities — Lucknow’s Ekana Cricket Stadium will stage 22 matches in the opening phase, while Kanpur’s Green Park Stadium will host the remaining 12. The opening ceremony takes place in Lucknow, with the final and closing ceremony in Kanpur.

The UPCA Governing Council met on Sunday to approve key proposals for Season 4, expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla for their support.

The Mini Auction will be held on July 24 in Agra, with 45 player slots available across six franchises. The Governing Council approved the retention policy, player selection process, catchment area trials, support staff guidelines, and auction regulations. The catchment area model will continue to provide opportunities for local talent from across Uttar Pradesh.

Suresh Raina continues as Brand Ambassador, with the league’s official anthem “Khiladi Yahan Banta Hai” (Champions Are Made Here) also retained for Season 4.

The prize pool stands at Rs 3 crore, with Rs 1 crore for the champions and Rs 60 lakh for the runners-up.
