VIVO becomes Official Partner of UEFA EURO 2020 and 2024

NYON, Switzerland: Chinese smartphone major VIVO, which exited from the IPL 2020 title sponsorship ahead of the event, has now signed off on a four-year deal with UEFA to become an official partner of the next two editions of the European Championships.

VIVO, a second-tier FIFA World Cup sponsor for the 2018 and 2022 tournaments, has now strengthened its commercial position in international football, with an agreement for Euro 2020, delayed to 2021, which will take place across 12 European cities, and Euro 2024 in Germany.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, marketing director of UEFA, made the announcement on Tuesday.

With VIVO’s help, UEFA is looking forward to connecting football fans globally over the next four years and beyond.

The announcement also means VIVO becomes the first ever presenting partner of the UEFA EURO Opening and Closing ceremonies where the smartphone manufacturer will work with UEFA in order to create a virtual experience for millions of viewers around the world.

VIVO joins Alipay, Booking.com, Coca Cola, FedEx, Heineken, Hisense, Socar, Takeaway.com and Volkswagen as current partners of UEFA EURO.
